Hello and welcome to my site, a monument to everything Halo,
below is a small description of each of the following pages; the UNSC Marines, the

The UNSC, short for United Nations Space Command, is the scientific, exploratory,
and military arm of the UN. Formed sometime around 2163 during the Argyre Planitia campaign,
the UNSC soon expanded out of the Sol system and began to colonize other far-away worlds. Then,
in 2525, after many years of barely holding itself together, the UNSC made first contact with the
Covenant. At first there were hopes of peaceful contact with these aliens, until the UNSC colony
world Harvest was 'glassed' from orbit. One Covenant ship had incinerated billions on the
planets surface, and then proceeded to destroy almost all of the ships that responded to the disaster.
Thus the Human-Covenant war began, and has raged for about 27 years.

A loose coalition of different alien species, the Covenant worships the long-gone mysterious race
known as the Forerunner. Led by the Hierarchs, they search the galaxy for the "Sacred Rings"
(their name for the Halo Installations), which they believe will allow them to become gods via the
Great Journey. Encountering the humans purely by chance, the Prophets (Hierarchs) soon decided that these
'vermin' deserved only annihilation. Due to their superior weapons, ships, and tactics the Covenant had
soon decreased the number of human-held planets from 800 to 540 by the time Reach fell. The Covenant
is currently experiencing a Civil War-like state, causing the species within it to fight one-another for
the right to survive.

Great architects of the Halo Installations, the Forerunner died out over 100,000 years ago, forced to commit
species-wide suicide by the relentless, parasitic Flood. This final solution came after they were on the losing
side of a 300 year war with the parasite. The Halo installations, designed to contain the Flood and
allow for its examination, were used to wipe the galaxy clean of all sentient life; thus rendering the parasite
harmless (no host equals no Flood). Through thousands of years of nothing, as other species came and went, the rings
remained intact, functioning, and undisturbed, until one was discovered by the humans. Ironically the Flood had
survived, and on the very rings the Forerunner had developed to eradicate them; so it begins again.

The Flood is an intergalactic parasite that thrives by consuming sentient lifeforms of sufficient biomass and cognitive
capability. Where the Forerunner were peaceful and wise, the Flood is savage and without conscience, unrelenting in its
eternal search for organic material. There are many different stages of the Flood's development: from the simple Infection
Form to the much more complex Compound Mind or 'Gravemind'. Each single member plays its role in keeping the 'Hive' afloat
amid all the chaos they cause. The Flood has no obvious purpose for existing besides the total destruction of all sentient
life and the many ecosystems it occupies. The Flood has also recently taken refuge on Earth, though the Infection was seemingly
halted when half of Africa was 'glassed' by the Elites.

Halo was originally developed to be a Real Time Strategy game (RTS) but somewhere along the line it transformed into the First
Person Shooter (FPS) we know it as today. The idea wasn't lost however, and the upcoming game Halo Wars returns the series to its
roots as a strategy game. The first game of the series, Halo: Combat Evolved, has been praised as being among the best and most
influential games on a console. After such an astounding worldwide reaction to Halo: Combat Evolved, Halo 2 went into production
and was released about three years later. Halo 2 broke numerous records for media release and Halo 3 further pushed the limit making
an astonishing $170 million in its first 24 hours of release.
